Aprilis started small, as a hobby, making gifts for friends and family. I have always been creative and had been looking for an outlet. I don't remember quite how I figured out how to make it I just did. Each month towards payday I'd get more and more excited about bead shopping until one day I realised that it had become more than a hobby. In 2007 I held my first jewellery party at home for friends and then in early 2009 I began to sell my work at craft fairs and online.
Aprilis is a little bigger now but still small and that's how I like it. Every piece is handmade by me and unique. That's part of the fun, I only make each piece once so you know that no one has the same one.
